On this day in 1964, After 5 years of aerial display, the Canadian Air Force's Golden Hawks aerobatic team was disbanded. The Golden Hawks were the pioneers of solos opposition, which would be adopted by virtually all aerobatic teams in the world. They will be replaced seven years later by the Snowbirds.
